MINDFULNESS SERVICES
We offer a wide range of Mindful Therapies
Mindfulness for Stress & Anxiety
Research into mindfulness indicates it can reduce anxiety and depression. It teaches us how to respond to stress with an awareness of the present moment, rather than act instinctively.
Mindfulness for Depression
Mindfulness can help with depression, although mindfulness is better at keeping someone from getting depressed than from pulling them out of depression.
Mindfulness for Pain (physical and emotional)
Mindfulness is a natural and effective way to ease any pain. Emotional and mental tension can add to physical Pain. Using mindfulness for systemic Pain helps people cope with it better.
Mindfulness for Children
Children can benefit from mindfulness. Developing the practice of bringing an accepting attitude to the present moment can promote happiness and relieves stress.
Mindfulness for Adolescents
Mindfulness practice benefits teenagers. It helps promote empathy, concentration and to control impulses. Mindfulness can help adolescents navigate the transition from child to adult.
Mindfulness for the Elderly

Group Mindfulness
Practising Group Mindfulness offers many benefits, it helps share our insights and discoveries.
Practising mindfulness regularly in a group can give a more profound experience when meditating. Key benefits of learning and practising in a group are; mutual support, shared experiences, a sense of belonging, deeper connection and reduced distractions,
By making a choice to regularly attend a mindfulness group, we reinforce our intention to practice and also remove any distractions. Choosing a neutral space, at a specific time means we may feel more more connected and have more opportunity to deepen and enrich our meditations
One to One Mindfulness
One to one mindfulness sessions for individuals are available. After an initial consultation, we explore your needs and formulate an agreed approach.
During your mindfulness sessions, you will learn essential mindfulness practices, tailored to your needs
Mindfulness meditations are recorded and given to you so that you can practice at home to help you establish your own self-guided practice. Using the recordings and practicing learned meditations can help you to deepen your mindfulness practice.
Mindfulness for Adults
Mindfulness is the essential ability to be fully present in the moment.
We are totally aware of where we are and what we’re doing, but not overwhelmed by what’s happening around us. When you bring awareness to your experience via your senses or your mind, you’re being mindful.
Becoming aware of the moment helps us enjoy the world around us more and understand ourselves better. We begin to experience things that we have been taking for granted. We learn to live in the moment, moment by moment.
Mindfulness for Children
Mindfulness minimises anxiety and increases happiness in children.
It can also help to develop compassion, focus, curiosity and empathy. By focusing on the simple practice of mindfulness, children can bring a gentle, accepting attitude to the present moment.
Mindfulness can help children in developing relationships, coping with school and establishing their independence. Mindfulness can alleviate stressful situations for a child and create the habit of being peaceful, kind and accepting.
Mindfulness for Schools
Mindfulness for Schools is vital as life can be hectic for children.
They are under more pressure than ever at school, and many also have a hectic schedule in the evenings and at weekends. Some children thrive, but others find it harder to handle.
Practising mindfulness at school helps them feel calmer, decreases conflict with others, improve concentration, manage anxiety and improve performance in sport, music and drama.

Cherry Traynor-Cox
I moved to Devon 11 years ago and worked as school nurse. I studied at The Devon School of Mindfulness and I am a fully trained, insured, and accredited Mindfulness Practitioner & Mindfulness Based Clinical Hypnotherapist.
My background is paediatric and school nursing. I left nursing in 2019 and trained as a mindfulness practitioner.
I have continued my professional development and I am now qualified as a Mindfulness Based Clinical Hypnotherapist. While still focusing on mindfulness I am able to practice as a Hypnotherapist. This new qualification focuses on solution focused counselling skills and Hypno-Psychotherapy.
I hold a weekly mindfulness group on Tuesdays in Brampton at 10am in the Swan Pub. As well as a weekly Zoom group on Wednesdays. I also provide 1:1 services from The Whitewater Clinic providing you with a peaceful and confidential space.
If you follow the contact options you will be lead to the Whitewater Clinic site where you will be able to view prices and book appointments.
I enjoy working with children and young people as well as adults of all ages. My specialisms are Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Children, Adolescents, Elderly, Pain (physical and emotional) and supporting Corporate clients. Entering this new phase I am overcome with humbleness that I am now able to support and aid against the growing emotional, physical pain and anxiety that affects many of us.
